Keith Jarrett - Spirits

This project was about making a scale-modell of an interior place, and making a CD, Vinyl design as well. The cornerstone of the design was a text, which was written by Keith Jarrett (mostly he wrote about his album: Spirits; but also included some thoughts about music, life and creating).
We had to choose a sentence/idea/word as a starting-point of our design. I chose: Music shouldn't remind us about the control - what we think we own/possess in our life. (- or something like that) - A zene nem emlékeztethet minket arra a kontrollra, amivel – úgy hisszük – életünk fölött rendelkezünk.

Mostly we had to use typography/typographic elements. That's why I mixed gesture ink spots with (basic) antique letters.

With the mixture of the gestures and the antique letters I wanted the emphasis the control. Which we think we have - but maybe we don't own it.

The entrance of the place faces on the caption: control.
On the left you can see order - Keith Jarret's text (in Hungarian) arranged like the lines of a music sheet.
Turing to the right will visualize a total mess - mixtures of gestures and letters.

I have adopted this composed orderliness in the design of the CD-s Vinyl-s as well.
